Under the Effect Panel, go to Advanced. Here you need to adjust the saturation of the symbol to make it look as if it’s being exposed to extremely bright light.

Tip: extreme brightness may also cause the object to change color as it gets lighter. It might become more orange, red or blue, depending on the light source.
